Taiji zhàng (Tai Chi Cane)
Why learn this rare form?
For those of us that practice Taiji, we may have leanr the usual weapons - brodsword (sabre), straight sword, spear and staff but is it enough? Or would it be better to say - "are they relevant to our times?"
the Taiji zhàng (tai chi cane) is a modern weapon for modern times. It can be carried safely as a walking stick, because that is what it is.
You will learn the traditional form, developed in China in the 20's plus
practical applications, making this a graceful and relevant weapon.
This is the first time this has been taught in the UK for many years, and places are stickly limited to ensure quality instruction
You will need a walking stick with a crook (curved handle). I would suggest a standard walking stick but a rattan cane would be ideal.
