Handsworth Wood Tai Chi
Handsworth Wood Tai Chi Class
Handsworth Wood - Tuesday 7pm Beginners
Push Hands Practice
St Andrews Sport & Community Centre
Corner of Church Lane & College Road. Handsworth
Hi - I’m Hunt Emerson - I lead the Kai-Ming tai chi class in Handsworth at St. Andrews Community Centre. My colleague Steve Fullerton runs the class with me. It’s at the junction of Church Lane, College Road and Grove Lane in Handsworth. We meet each Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8pm. We’re a small, informal class, so if you join us you’ll get almost one-to-one tuition, at least to start with.

I’ve been practising tai chi for around 17 years, and I’ve been an instructor for 15 years. I teach the 37 step Cheng Man Ching form, Qi-Gong (Chi-Kung) and some of the related forms such as Da Lu and Tui Shou (pushing hands). I really enjoy teaching beginners, and Steve is more expert at some of the advanced techniques of tai chi alignment and balance. Our class is relaxed and friendly, and we do our best to have fun with the art of t’ai chi. If you’re in the north Birmingham area come and pay us a visit.
